Free SEO Tools

A small but growing set of free SEO tools built to be genuinely useful — not lead-generation widgets dressed up as tools. No signup required, no email gate, no data collected or stored. Each tool runs entirely in your browser.

These tools are designed to help you diagnose common SEO problems, prioritise what to fix, and understand your site’s performance more clearly. They are not replacements for a full audit or professional analysis, but they are a useful starting point.

Available tools

Page SEO analyser

Enter any URL in the Page SEO Analyser to get a full on-page analysis — meta tags, heading structure, hreflang, structured data, internal link anchors, and Core Web Vitals. Fetches the live page in real time.

Technical SEO priority scorer

Use the Technical SEO Priority Scorer to work through a structured checklist of the most common technical SEO issues. Check which ones apply to your site and get back a score out of 100 and a prioritised action list — critical issues first, each with a specific fix recommendation.

Covers crawlability, indexation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, and on-page signals. Useful for getting a quick read on where your site’s technical foundations stand.

Internal link opportunity finder

This is a tool for finding internal linking opportunities. Enter your pages and their target keywords to find which pages should be linking to which. Results are ranked by keyword relevance and flag pages with no inbound links at all.

Keyword cannibalisation checker

Paste in your pages and keywords to identify cases of keyword cannibalisation — where multiple pages are targeting the same or overlapping queries. Flags exact conflicts and close overlaps with specific fix recommendations.

More tools coming

Additional tools are in development, including a keyword cannibalisation checker, an internal link opportunity finder, and an SEO content brief generator. Check back or get in touch if there is a specific tool you would find useful.

About these tools

These tools are built and maintained by Matt, an independent technical SEO consultant with over 15 years of experience. They reflect the kinds of diagnostic questions I ask when reviewing a site — translated into a format anyone can use without specialist knowledge.

If a tool surfaces issues you are not sure how to address, or if you want a more thorough analysis of your specific site, a free initial consultation is available.

For broader SEO guidance, see the resources section which covers technical SEO, common ranking problems, and AI search.
